Tips and Techniques for using QuicKutz effectively How to prepare your dies (2x2 and 2x4) for cutting |

| Place a foam sticker over the cutting edge of the die |
Insert die into the tool. Squeeze or press until the handles close completely. This prepares the foam and die for cutting. |
| NOTE: The Squeeze tool makes it no longer necessary to remove the outer edge of foam from your die after preparation. |
Troubleshooting tips Try these suggestions if your dies aren't cutting properly: |
1. If your die is not cutting out completely, change the placement of the die by rotating it 90 degrees to the right or left and cut again. |
2. If your die is inserted into the hand tool correctly, move the die slightly to the right or left or top and cut again. |
3. Remove or peel the outer edge of foam from the die. Leave the foam inside the die image. |
4. Try "shimming" your die. A shim is a clear plastic sticker that should be adhered to the smooth (non-cutting) side of the die. |
